The Pediatric Orthopaedic Clinic Receives Equipment for Children through a Grant from the Trull Foundation
and Continues to Encourage Equipment Donations

In the last 30 years, Dr. Jacob Heydemann and his team consisting of Dr. Cynthia Fisher, Fabian Calderon and many other volunteers that have helped throughout the years, have treated more than 7,500 through 28,459 physical therapy sessions, 30,400 medical consultations and 816 surgeries at the Pediatric-Orthopaedic Clinic.

Housed inside FEMAP’s Hospital de la Familia, the clinic cares for children not only from Cd. Juárez, but the rest of the state of Chihuahua and surrounding areas from the states of Coahuila, Durango, Sinaloa, and Sonora.

What began in a tiny Cd. Juárez clinic with five closet-size rooms blossomed into an international effort involving two hospitals, anesthesiologists, physical therapists, and orthotics suppliers.

The Trull Foundation awarded $5,000 to purchase walkers and pediatric knee immobilizers for the young patients.

The FEMAP Foundation continues to need pediatric walkers and wheel chairs of all sizes.
